The Delhi Capitals (DC) beat the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a high-scoring encounter courtesy of a strong bowling effort. DC’s pacers, Khaleel Ahmed and Ishant Sharma, held CSK to 7/2. However, CSK struggled to retain pace, with MS Dhoni striking a fast 37 but insufficient to prevent a 20-run loss. DC took a deliberate decision to demote Mitchell Marsh and promote Prithvi Shaw. Shaw and David Warner reached 62 runs without losing a wicket, but Matheesha Pathirana bowled Warner for 52 and Shaw for 43. DC ended strong at 191/5.
