VULKAN emerged back in 2002 with the purpose of revolutionize the Jiu Jitsu market with a Gi that would be not only strong and resistant but also light and comfortable to the athlete. The founder and CEO, Matheus Costa combined all the elements to put this project together and in 2004, Vulkan created the very first Pro-Light Gi which is a benchmark worldwide up to today’s days. Later in 2009, Vulkan raised the game again bringing the lightest Gi ever made in the market, the Ultra-Light Gi. Vulkan paved the way for the concept of “light Gi’s” in the Jiu Jitsu industry.
