Spinal needles are highly accurate medical tools utilized by anaesthesiologists for accessing the subarachnoid space for spinal anaesthesia, lumbar punctures and intrathecal drug administration. Spinal needles can be categorized into two types depending on their tip structure: Quincke (cutting tip) and Whitacre (pencil tip). These needles vary in gauge size, ranging between 18G to 27G, and in length which ranges between 6 cm, 8 cm and 9 cm. Spinal needles are made of stainless steel and come sterilized and free of any pyrogens.
