Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) can help women manage symptoms caused by large uterine fibroids without traditional surgery. During the procedure, blood flow to the fibroids is reduced, causing them to shrink over time. This may relieve heavy periods, pain, bloating, and other discomforts associated with large fibroids.
