Mahesh Ramakrishnan is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Escape Velocity Ventures (EV3), a thesis-driven venture capital firm specializing in early-stage companies operating at the leading edge of internet infrastructure and decentralized networks. EV3 has led investments in more than thirty startups that are redefining how people connect, transact, and create value across the Internet. Mahesh began his career at Goldman Sachs in investment banking, followed by Apollo Global Management in private equity, before transitioning into venture capital. His career has consistently focused on identifying transformative technologies early and partnering with founders who push the boundaries of innovation. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (2024) and a BA from Harvard College (2018). In addition to his work as an investor, Mahesh Ramakrishnan is an active writer. He has co-authored several Harvard Business School case studies on blockchain networks, including cases on Helium, NEAR, and Solana. His research examines the mechanics and economics of crypto protocols and the broader intersection of technology and society. Outside of investing and writing, Mahesh is deeply involved in nonprofit initiatives. He co-founded Mahamaya Dogs, a Chennai-based organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for street dogs, reflecting his belief that compassion and long-term commitment are essential both in communities and in investing.
